Studio C serves an average of 5.5 million movie fans throughout Michigan with the Celebration Cinema chain in 14 locations throughout the state. In 2018, Studio C aimed to provide an enhanced entertainment experience for people in Grand
Rapids with a new project, Studio Park. It provides a one-stop entertainment hub in downtown Grand Rapids, including a movie theater, a concert venue, restaurants, retail shops, a hotel, and residential apartments in one venue.
Celebration
Cinema is the core business for Studio C. Thus, the technology infrastructure and back end content management system (CMS) was designed for ticketing only. The CMS was not capable of handling the complexity of the customer experience they wanted to
deliver through their web presence as Studio Park bundled the theater business with other business offerings in Studio Park.
Understanding Studio C's objective for Studio Park, Springthrough recommended adopting Sitefinity as their content management system that can scale up and cater to the different customer needs that the entertainment hub offers.
Studio C planned to roll out a couple of new customer initiatives as Studio Park opened. However, their content management system was designed specifically for movie ticketing sales and was not able to support the new business initiative.
